Using a CRT TV nowadays for streaming and more! Fire TV Stick I

I couldn’t find the forum post anymore where someone explained how to set the fire TV stick to 4 by 3.
I did however copy that post back then so that i could follow the instructions more easily. Here is that copied forum post (Think it was from Reddit). :

“Hello! I'm on a Windows machine, so these are the instructions for Windows, so hopefully it works for you too. Also, my fire tv stick is a gen2, with Fire OS version 5.2.7.7.

-Download ADB platform tools: https://dl.google.com/android/reposit... and extract the zip file into a folder (I chose the Downloads folder)
On the Amazon Firestick, from the home screen click up and navigate all the way to the right to the settings menu, then navigate to My Fire TV, then down one to Developer Options
-Turn ADB Debugging on
-Go back and up to select About, then click down on the remote twice to choose Network, and take note of the IP address.
-Back in Windows, open the Command Prompt (either right click on the Windows button, click run and type in CMD, or type CMD in the search bar).
-In the Command Prompt, go to the directory of the extracted files (for me, I type cd downloads/platform-tools) and hit enter
-Next, type adb connect with the IP address that was listed in Network, and hit enter (I believe a message will pop up on your Firestick asking to confirm that you want the computer to connect to your device. I can't remember exactly if the popup happens at this step or earlier, because my devices is already setup)
Type adb shell and hit enter
-Type wm size 1440x1050 (or 1920x1440 or whatever resolution you want) and hit enter

This last step is optional, but if you choose to, you can type reboot to reboot the device with the new settings. The only times I've had to do that is if I'm already inside an app and I change the resolution settings. But more often than not, it's unnecessary.
