Today’s pictures are statues outside of Fenway Park.

Ted Williams
The Ted Williams statue, unveiled in 2002, is located in the Right Field Concourse near the Gate B entrance. This bronze sculpture depicts Williams in his iconic batting stance, holding a bat with his left hand and offering his cap to a young boy, symbolizing his dedication to children battling cancer through the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The statue stands over 8 feet tall and weighs approximately 3,380 pounds.

Yaz
The Carl Yastrzemski statue is a tribute to the legendary left fielder who spent his entire 23-year major league career with the Boston Red Sox. Unveiled in 2013, the statue depicts Yastrzemski tipping his helmet to the crowd after his final at-bat in 1983. The statue is located outside the Gate B entrance between the statue of Ted Williams and “The Teammates” statue. It was sculpted by Toby Mendez, who also created “The Teammates” statue.

Teammates
This statue, created by sculptor Antonio Tobias Mendez, sits right outside of Fenway Park's Gate 5, at the corner of Ipswich street and Van Ness Street. The 7-plus foot tall figures represent four former Red Sox players that were an integral part of the ballclub's history. They are from left to right: Bobby Doerr, Dom DiMaggio, Johnny Pesky, and Ted Williams. The statue was erected in honor of not only the success they enjoyed together on the field, but also the friendship formed between them that lasted long after they left the game.
