Once upon a midnight dreary, a weak and weary English student investigates the source of a knock on his window.

"The raven" is a cinematic interpretation of Edgar Allan Poe's eponymous work. The film is a crossbreed between psychological horror, noir, and teen drama. The plot is inspired by the late-night delusions that many modern teenagers experience while staying up to complete academic commitments. As the population continues growing at unprecedented rates, the criteria for achieving good careers become higher and higher. School is now assigning more work than ever, and students are sacrificing both mental and physical health to gain a lead in this competitive world. "The raven" is meant to mirror and protest the status quo by embodying homework and sleep deprivation as a supernatural force.
