Nurses, teachers, doctors and others take part in mega strike | RNZ

Thousands of teachers, doctors and other health workers went on strike on Thursday, October 24 over pay and work conditions in what is being billed as quite possibly the biggest labour action in more than 40 years.

It is the latest in a growing series of strikes and walkoffs this year, but the sheer size of it means much of New Zealand will come to a halt.

Education and health workers joined the strike in Henderson, sharing their reasons for joining the protest.
