A heart suspended between ancient pillars, beating where no life should ever exist.

This is From Within the Beating Darkness - my entry for the Beyond Your Imagination 2 – Astronaut Challenge hosted by Roman Lappat.
A diorama built from fear, fascination, and the quiet horror of discovering something that was never meant to be found.

Nine astronauts arrive on a silent rocky world, searching for the source of a strange signal.
What they uncover is a carved structure in the emptiness… and a giant human heart floating between two stone pillars.
Wires drift from its veins, anchoring the ruins while something stirs within the organ.
And when the ground begins to crack, the truth reveals itself.

This piece mixes eldritch horror, sci-fi exploration, atmospheric lighting, and miniature storytelling.
