Ciara - One Woman Army (Fanmade Album)

After the release of her fourth album, which was her lowest-selling and unsuccessful, Ciara faced rumors that she had been dropped by Jive Records. She publicly complained on Facebook about the lack of promotion and support from the label, even funding some of her own singles like "Gimmie Dat." Frustrated, she requested to be released from her contract, and by May 2011, she was removed from Jive's roster. In July 2011, Ciara signed with Epic Records, marking a reunion with L.A. Reid.

In February 2012, Ciara shared in an interview that she was taking her time with her fifth studio album, focusing on good energy and vibes. She announced in May 2012 that the album would be titled One Woman Army, with the lead single "Sweat" featuring 2 Chainz, but it was later scrapped. In August 2012, she revealed that the official lead single would be "Sorry," which reached number 40 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The second single, "Got Me Good," was released in November 2012 but only charted in Belgium. In April 2013, the album's title was changed from One Woman Army to Ciara, and it was announced that "Sweat," "Sorry," and "Got Me Good" would not appear on the final tracklist. Instead, the lead single became "Body Party," with "I'm Out" featuring Nicki Minaj as the second single. The album was released on July 9, 2013, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.
