Watch Me Paint a Picture Book Spread

Come join me in the studio as I illustrate a spread from the picture book Sari Sisters by Anitha Rao-Robinson, published by Viking Books for Young Readers. In this vlog, I’m sharing my traditional painting process using gouache, and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how I bring a picture book scene to life. You’ll see how I plan colors, paint traditionally, and reflect on my techniques at the time.

This video was filmed in 2023 while I was working on the interior art, so just a note that some parts of my process may have changed since then.
