In the mid 1800's ,there was a failure of Potato crop in Ireland, which resulted in a Famine.
-So , Irish people decided to immigrate to America.
-Initially they chose Boston and New York as there second home.
-They expected good living conditions.
-unfortunately, they had to sleep in gardens , backyards and wooden shacks.
-Rowdy behavior was the result of alcohol over-usage and boredom in the lives of Irish people.
-Due to lack of cleanliness , unsanitary conditions emerged , which caused diseases like Cholera.
-As a result of Cholera , 60% children died at the tender age of six.
-Also , adults lived for six years at an average, since they arrived the United States.
