NOTE: The annonacin toxicity is probably a separate thing from the alkaloid-based gastrointestinal distress seen when drying the fruit; these are likely separate phenomena.
So I've been on the fence about making this video; invariably the subject rousts some people's dragons, but given the amount of misunderstanding out there I figured it was time to show this. This is how I quantify the annonacin content in pawpaw, and how I view the Guadeloupe Study, a study on Annona muricata leaf tea in the French Guadeloupe (worth also noting -- this is an unconventional use of the plant).
Basic problematic dose is easily googled. As is the quantity in a given fruit. I may be erring on the higher side with annonacin content in pawpaw fruit.
