This exploration focuses on the abandoned monastery ruins, once a strict isolation facility for leprosy patients. This site was where the "really bad" patients were treated before being moved, making it a powerful and emotional place to visit.

​Leprosy Colony Ruins: We explore the settlement's final remnants, including the site of the old monastery, tragically burnt down by the government in 1973. Learn about the difficult life in this isolated leprosy colony.
​Historical Rock Work: Discover the huge, intricate rock wall constructions, stone avenues, and terraced areas—a testament to the enormous physical effort required to build on this remote island.
​The Search for the Nuns' Staircase: My personal mission is to locate the exact spot of the main monastery staircase, hoping to digitally recreate a crucial missing historical photo of the nuns who served this community.
​Forgotten Infrastructure: We uncover large, fascinating remnants of the island's infrastructure, including a massive, cracked water reservoir (dam system) and unique finds like old train tracks and a winch near the beach, showing how vital supplies were brought ashore.
