On January 15th, 2025 I decided to see trains in Framingham since the summer of 2024. My first spot in Framingham was just west of the station on the curve. I made it just in time for MBTA Inbound 516 with CTC-5 number 1811, the veterans cab car, but unfortunately I got no video. MBTA Outbound 515 came right after it passed with F40PH-3C number 1063 leading towards Worcester as I also didn't get video as well. I then drove to CSX's North Yard to see if there was any action. I saw Y101, the Framingham/Worcester job, as it was getting ready to head west. I got some photos of the power and then headed to Nevins Yard to see if there were anything interesting in the yard but there was nothing. So I went back to the station to find a parking spot at the station but it was full. It was almost time for the next set of trains so I went to a spot which is next to Nevins Yard. There, I saw first was MBTA Inbound 518 with CTC-5 number 1835 lead towards Boston. Right as the inbound cleared, MBTA Outbound 517 came roaring through with HSP46 number 2007. I then was planning on heading to Ashland but right before I left I heard a rumble of a train so I quickly went out to see that CSX Y101 was heading to Worcester so I quickly got some photos of it and tried to beat it to Ashland. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. About 30 minutes later, I saw Amtrak 449 at Cherry Street with P42DC number 89 leading towards Chicago with an awesome hornshow. Just a few minutes later, MBTA Inbound 520 passed with CTC-5 number 1808 with another hornshow heading towards Boston. Yet, another train was approaching within the next 10 minutes after the inbound cleared so I quickly made it to Howe Street in Ashland. There, I saw MBTA Outbound 519 with HSP46 number 2035 leading. I then waited about 35 minutes for the next train which I saw at Ashland Station. MBTA Inbound 522 came through with CTC-5 number 1862 leading towards Boston. The last train of the day was MBTA Outbound 521 as it decelerated into the station with F40PH-3C number 1025. I had an awesome day out on the rails!
