just put this together tonight. learning what sequences they used for this song. there are two.
D E F G-A-G-A (played unison across 2 octaves or use phase shift/octave/2nd higher voice effects)
D Db B A Db D Gb (with low D played between each note at speed)
These were automated sequences played using an arpeggiator. each pattern tied to a specific key in the keyboard and triggered when. I've learnt how to play them manually as best I can within a few hours, it helps with my learning curve and teaches technique.
I'm not up on how to program the arpeggiator on my Korg x50, it has two thankfully. tonight's reading, how to program in a sequence, assign to a specific key and how to switch between the two. having mastered that, I'll move onto creating the sounds for the lead synth part and the famous hook line it plays.
I've used a 5th saw sound with phase shift and delay to get the sound used today.
