How many of us have blood on our hands we ourselves are unaware of? Perhaps not as directly as first-degree murder, but instead as a product sourced unethically, a policy denying vital healthcare, or a profit made off a catastrophic market crash.

Indeed, a terrible amount of modern suffering can be attributed to the mundane acts of many acting in their own self-interests. Despite this, whether we shoulder the blame or live in wilful ignorance, is ultimately up to us to decide.

One such individual, a high-ranking chairperson of the Northland Bank befittingly titled “The Regrator”, comes face-to-face with the fallout of his company’s opportunistic endeavors when a vendetta surfaces between an ex-employee and his fellow officials. For the true currencies of the Northland Bank are indeed blood and tears; but will what remains of his conscience condone his part in it?

We had a lot of ideas on how to adapt Pantalone before settling on this one, resulting in one of the slowest-paced videos we've made to date. What I like about the various Harbinger characters is the various ways their acts of villainy manifest; in The Regrator's case, his personal evils are far more mundane, and yet no less malevolent.

In many ways his portrayal is a reflection of what's wrong with modern society as a whole, and certain story details are in part inspired by both from my own and others' real-world experiences. The setting and story really resonated with me personally going through the process of making it, and I hope that at least some of it will be relatable to those of you watching as well.
