Flax Fiber Prepping. A different way to process the flax stalks. Instead of a traditional break I opted to try a grain crusher. Knurled rollers and the flax is fed between the rollers effectively breaking the inner core of the flax plant so it will easily break away to release the fibers within the bark of the plant. Dang if it doesn't work. A bit slow but with some practice it could be pretty quick. Process some fibers before working out some inner core by hand. Not as harsh as a traditional flax brake on the fiber either.
