Today we will take you to #idalgashinna railway station which is considered to be the most beautiful railway station in Sri Lanka. Anyone who has taken the train from #colombo to Badulla will definitely know here. It is located between Haputale and Ohiya railway stations. This railway station was built during the colonial era. With 14 tunnels between Ohiya and Idalgashinna, it holds the record for the highest number of tunnels between 2 railway stations in Sri Lanka. Also, this railway station is located on a mountain peak in the middle of the Namunukula mountain range. On rainy days, the rainwater that falls on the roof of the railway station joins the Mahaweli river on one side of the roof and the Walawe river on the other side. Isn't it amazing.. When the mist mixes with the green color of the surroundings, you can see an unbelievable beauty. This environment can be best enjoyed in the morning. There are tea plantations and fine trees all around. Just beyond the railway platform, A little further along the concrete road that lies near the sub-post office, you will come across a staircase. From there you can go to Idalgashinna viewpoint. There is also a camping site there. But you must get special permission before coming for camping. When we go to the viewpoint, we realize that we have reached a very high peak without realizing it. It is a very charming sight.



අද අපි ඔයාලව එක්කරගෙන යන්නේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සුන්දරම දුම්රිය ස්ථානයක ලෙස සැලකෙන ඉදල්ගස්හින්න දුම්රිය ස්ථානයටයි. කොළඹ ඉදන් බදුල්ලට කෝච්චියේ ගිහින් තියෙන කෙනෙක්නම් අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම මෙතන දන්නවා. මෙය පිහිටලා තියෙන්නේ හපුතලේ සහ ඔහිය දුම්රිය ස්ථාන අතරයි. මේ දුම්රිය ස්ථානය යටත් විජිත යුගයේ තමයි ඉදි කරලා තියෙන්නේ. ඔහිය සහ ඉදල්ගහින්න අතර උමං මාර්ග 14 ක් ඇති නිසා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ දුම්රිය ස්ථාන 2ක් අතර ඇති වැඩිම උමං මාර්ග සංඛ්‍යාවේ වාර්තාවට හිමිකම් කියනවා. ඒවගේම මේ දුම්රිය ස්ථානය පිහිටලා තියෙන්නේ නමුණුකුල කඳු වැටිය මධ්‍යයේ පිහිටි එක් කඳු මුදුනක නිසා වැසි දින වලට දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ වහලට පතිත වන වැසි දිය වහලේ එක් පසෙකින් මහවැලි නදියටත් අනෙක් පසින් වළවේ නදියටත් එක් වෙනවා. පුදුමයි නේ.. වටපිටාවේ හරිත පැහැයත් එක්ක මීදුම මුසු වෙද්දී දකින්නට තියෙන්නේ ඇස් අදහා ගත නොහැකි සුන්දරත්වයක්. මේ පරිසරය හොඳින්ම විඳගන්න පුලුවන් උදේ වරුවටයි. වටේටම් තියෙන්නේ තේ වතු සහ ෆයින් ගස්. දුම්රිය වේදිකාවට මදක් ඔබ්බෙන් පිහිටි උප තැපැල් කාර්යාලය අසලින් වැටී තිබෙන කොන්ක්‍රීට් පාර දිගේ ටිකක් දුර ගියාම පඩිපෙළක් මුණගැහේවි. එතනින් යන්න තියෙන්නේ ඉදල්ගස්හින්න view point එකටයි. එතන camping site එකකුත් තියෙනවා. හැබැයි camping කරන්න එන්න කලින් විශේෂ අවසරයක් අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම ගන්න ඕනි. View point එකට ගියාමයි තේරෙන්නේ අපි නොදැනම සෑහෙන උස මුදුනකට ඇවිත් බව. හරිම චමත්කාරජනක දසුනක් තමයි එතනට පේන්නේ.
