On this day, 04/19/25, DAILY TAPS at the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C. honors 8 minutemen who died at the Battle of Lexington in 1775 for principles that formed a country: John Brown, Samuel Hadley, Caleb Harrington, Jonathon Harrington, Robert Munroe, Isaac Muzzey, Asahel Porter, & Jonas Parker.

It especially commemorates the 4.7 million men and women who put on an American uniform in WWI in the name of freedom and Democracy to help end a global conflict that had engulfed and ravaged the entire world.
