SPOILERS through s5ep18 Summary: A character study of Dean and the events that led to his "decision".

Forgive me for taking so long to finish another SN vid. I've been slamming into vidblock on my other SN vids lately. I even began a vid in another fandom to attempt to break the block. Then that vid gave me vidblock, too. sigh

Well, that was until these last few episodes of SN. This vid almost made itself. Everything just fell into place and I'm quite proud of it. I know many in the SN fandom were ticked off at Dean's behavior these last couple episodes, and I agree... to an extent. I'm upset that Dean was giving up after fighting for so long, but at the same time, I understood why. Dean Winchester is one of the strongest characters on television, but even he can only take so much for so long. Dean finally hit rock bottom. Pre-Hell Dean probably would have held out for longer, but Post-Hell Dean is all too familiar with hopelessness and despair.

Anyway, this is my attempt at showing Dean's downward spiral and reasons for his surrender. We all may not like it, but he's only human... And isn't that why we all love this show so much? They are such human--such REAL--characters that we feel what they feel.

Also, while we had a somewhat... uh, happy ending? At least, brother-wise? ...to episode 18 of season 5, I wanted this vid to only show Dean's struggle. Just imagine that what comes after this vid is Dean doing the right thing.
