We got this feeder because previously all we had to use when we left the cats for a weekend was a gravity feeder. One of our cats is food obsessed and when presented with an endless amount of food, kept overeating until he would throw up. This left him feeling sick and not enough food for our other cat.

Now we can either fill each section with either a portion for one of them or both of them (depending on which cat or cats we are leaving for the weekend). We can keep their mealtimes consistent and know how much and when they are eating. This has provided us with great relief and peace of mind when away.

Blaze (the food obsessed cat) tried very hard the first day we had it to access the food inside. He used his paws, his teeth and was unable to open the lid or access the food. He has since stopped trying so hard.

At this time we have used the feeder for two weekends. The first weekend was only Blaze and it worked perfectly. The second weekend we left it for both Marina and Blaze. Marina took a little bit more of a backseat during the feeding times and may not have eaten an equal share, but she did eat :)
