In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and on the occasion of the Spanish Presidency of the European Council, the event aims to address current human rights issues with a focus on the challenges democracy and human rights face.
Organized by the Spanish Embassy in Ireland at the Instituto Cervantes Dublin with talks by the President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, Mykola Gnavitosvka, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, and Northern Ireland's High Commissioner for Human Rights Alyson Kilpatrick, among others.

Celebrado con motivo del 75 aniversario de la Declaración Universal de Derechos Humanos y durante la presidencia española del Consejo Europeo, este encuentro quiere examinar cuestiones vigentes de derechos humanos, centrándose en los retos a los que se enfrentan la democracia y los derechos humanos.
Organizado por la Embajada de España en Irlanda, en el Instituto Cervantes de Dublín cuenta con ponencias de Patrick Cox, expresidente del Parlamento Europeo, Mykola Gnavitosvka, juez ucraniano del Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos y la Alta Comisaria de Derecho Humanos de Irlanda del norte, Alyson Kilpatrick.
