You can actually very easily convert the HTC VIVE Controllers to VIVE Trackers so that you can use them as full-body trackers.

If you went for the Valve Index or other VR headset coming from an HTC VIVE, then you probably have some VIVE Controllers lying around somewhere. So why not use it for something else? This video is a guide on how to transform your VIVE Controllers into VIVE Trackers.
