The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a fully involved vacant structure fire early Tuesday morning. Due to the intensity of the flames and threat to nearby properties, the incident was quickly upgraded to a 2nd Alarm Fire.
Crews deployed ladder pipes and heavy water streams to aggressively attack the blaze and bring it under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the firefighters for their swift, coordinated response and dedication to protecting the community.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
