Day in the Life: 2019 STS Annual Meeting

Follow medical student Jacqueline K. Olive (Baylor College of Medicine) and cardiothoracic surgery resident Jessica G.Y. Luc, MD (University of British Columbia) as they travel to attend the STS 55th Annual Meeting that took place January 26-29, 2019, in San Diego, California.

While there, they meet with STS President Robert S.D. Higgins, MD (Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine) to discuss important topics, such as mentorship and diversity in the workplace. They also get the chance to interview Tom C. Nguyen, MD (University of Texas Houston) and Ourania A. Preventza, MD (Baylor College of Medicine) at the Society’s popular hands-on program, STS University.
