Along the walk you visit: Strath Suardal with the ruined church of Strath; the cove of Camas Malag, Loch Slapin and Glen Boreraig; the suined village of Suisnish, the cliffs of Carn Dearg and the ruined village of Boreraig; moorland and quarries back to Strath Suardal. Scenery includes: outstanding coastal scenery with mountains and lochs; excellent views of Bla Bheinn and Clach Glas, initially across the reed-filled waters of Loch Cill Chriosd; a fabulous rocky shoreline the cliffs of Carn Dearg and two fine waterfalls; the ruined church of Strath, at Kilchrist; many crofting enclosures and field-boundary dykes; a sheep-washing station; the ruins of houses at Boreraig; a marble quarry and another small quarry; a ruined cottage at Kilchrist. You may also encounter sheep and cattle on the roads, tracks and paths.
