The Organisation for the Cultural Capital of Europe "Thessaloniki 1997" assigned Goran Bregovic to compose a work which would bring together the Balkan experiences with the image and the history of a city, that forms a spiritual and cultural centre of the whole area for 23 centuries.
The work was presented as the last event of the "Thessaloniki 1997" great cultural fiesta and is now being released, starting its path through time right at the turn of the century.
