Hi all, happy 2026
To celebrate the new year, I challenged myself to make a Hopes & Dreams AU song. I've always liked others' takes on this specific idea, so I threw my hat into the ring with who has become my favorite Undertale character, Chara.
Their Hopes & Dreams song is based on the unused song "Star," "Home," and "Reunited," with leitmotifs referencing His Theme as well. As best put by a friend, it was composed with the idea of being slightly left of the original song, as if you might be able to do something in Undertale to see Chara as the final boss instead.
The song was composed using the lmms, and with vst sample recreations of the Undertale Soundfont/Sound Library. I don't have access to the same guitar Toby Fox uses, so I tried matching as best I could.
