In this video, we unbox the new Apple AirPods 2 in the standard version without the wireless charging case. I do believe this is the version to get. The charging via lightning cable is more secure and reliable and also much much faster than wireless charging. It is also very easy to place the AirPods on the charging mat and not have it aligned properly with the charging coils and end up with discharged AirPods.
