This is Part 1 of Professor Fink's Video Lecture describing the Organization of the Nervous System and the Types of Neurons. In this Video Lecture, Professor Fink describes the Central Nervous System (CNS) & Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), Nerves, sensory (afferent) nerve fibers, motor (efferent) nerve fibers, the Structure of a Neuron (including Cell Body, Neuronal Processes, dendrites, axons, synaptic knobs), and the 3 principal shapes of Neurons (bipolar, unipolar & multipolar). Reference is made to Oligodenroglia (Oligodendrocytes) & Schwann Cells, and segmental innervation.
