I'm 32 years of age, been suffering with tonsillitis for over 15 years (1 to 2 times yearly for 1-2 weeks at a time).

I've been scared my whole life of surgery but I finally decided to dive in and see how the post op recovery is! I'll go over the initial procedure at the end once I've fully recovered.
I'm taking part of a study whereby I don't know which procedure I had to remove my tonsils out as an adult, my daily pain thresholds and drug usage are being recovered for this ongoing to study to perhaps see which method is better for the patient.
Expecting potentially painful days ahead but keep to share my story.
Drugs prescribed by my doctors
Tapentadol 1/2 every 4 hours
Celecoxib one tablet every 12 hours
Oxycodone (Not to be had with the drugs above, it's my drug for user in the later days of recovery once I've ran out of supplies above)
Pregnisol (Emergency drug to assist on days of heightened pain)
Lignocaine (Emergency drug to assist on days of heightened pain)
Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid (Antibiotic to prevent bacterial infections of my surgical site)
