AL-NAZ is a well-loved restaurant run by local Pakistanis, located in Imizu, Toyama. Along with AL-BARAKA, these are perhaps the two most popular for the local Pakistani community (maybe also ZAIKA). Our Pakistani friends recommended us to order the Bihari and Mandi, so we got the Mutton Bihari (soupy mutton curry) and Mutton Mandi (tender bbq mutton on a bed of flavored Saudi Arabian long-grain rice). The mutton was so tender! The Mandi was flavored with raisins and nuts, along with spices. We were also told that AL-NAZ has tasty Chicken Chili and Chicken 65. The latter is like fried chicken and the former is the latter in a sweet chili sauce. We also got two curries, the Butter Chicken Curry and the Daal Tadka, though we were also considering the Chana Masala, both chickpea curries. These were really good. As for the Naan, we upgraded to Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan and Chapati. Finally, we had Mango Lassi and Chai for drinks. This place was a hit! I think the spices are bolder than AL-BARAKA, so it suits the adventurous, and may be an unfamiliar taste to first timers. I wholeheartedly recommend AL-NAZ. ‪@TastyWaterOM‬ ‪@TravelWhiskers‬
