There are three main stressors, which continuously produce stressful emotions. The first one is time: we are always either in the future or in the past. The second one is the state of our body and the third one is the circumstances - it is always either too hot or too cold.
Emotions have the ability to completely absorb our consciousness. But we, as souls, are able to separate ourselves from all these experiences. We should regulate our contact with the environment and try to behave very humbly. Also, we should try to replace stressful emotions with the emotions of surrender. If we do it properly, our consciousness will become very clear and dedicated to the Supreme Lord.
Emotions of saranagati are: 1) determination; 2) trust in Bhagavan as my only protector; 3) acceptance of Bhagavan as my maintainer; 4) complete dependence; 5) meekness. By chanting the Holy name with these emotions, we can go to Krishna.
