After consecutive years of drought and an ongoing looper moth infestation, many of Stanley Park's trees have died and must be removed to support public safety and infrastructure.
Here, Joe McLeod from our Urban Forestry team shares an update on the work to remove these trees, how the wood will be distributed and plans for replanting the park with thousands of native tree species to support a healthier, more resilient forest, long-term.
