I love to use a technique I like to call shading, it allows me to accent details and adds some depth to a furniture project. You might say it looks like vignetting too. For this nightstand, I gave it a base of @DixieBellePaint's French Linen color chalk mineral paint. Then using Voodoo gel stain I added shading. To add some glam, I enjoyed using Gold Gilding Wax. This technique might give you a new option to try on your next project.
