This video explores Far Ings, an 80-hectare nature reserve on the south bank of the Humber estuary. Once a site of intensive clay digging, it has been transformed into a landscape of reed beds and freshwater wetlands. These reed beds provide vital habitat for rare bird species such as Bittern, Bearded Tit and Marsh Harrier, and are carefully managed to prevent natural succession. The reserve relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers, highlighting both the importance of public support and the need for visitors to act responsibly.
