DAY 54 - The North Korean town you’ve never heard of

Join me for one of the most intense and eye-opening days of my journey through North Korea. We travel from Pyongyang to the historic border town of *Kaesong**, getting *unfiltered access to the *Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)* — one of the most heavily guarded and politically charged borders on Earth.

Along the way:
🇰🇵 We stop at the **Arch of Reunification**, a powerful symbol of the Korean dream.
🚬 There's a strange roadside pitstop.
🪖 A North Korean military officer gives us a tour of the *DMZ* and explains the tragic split between North and South.
📷 I walk inside the DMZ itself, take group photos with soldiers, and check out **wild propaganda souvenirs**.
🍲 I try **Kaesong’s traditional royal lunch**, which controversially includes the option of *dog meat soup*.
🏛️ We visit the **Koryo Museum**, exploring ancient celadon pottery, Buddhist heritage, and the shift from religion to Juche ideology.
🚽 I celebrate the rare discovery of a squat toilet WITH toilet paper 😆
🌄 We explore **Sariwon city**, climb to a scenic pavilion, and meet a local couple famous for their **homemade rice wine (Makkoli)**.
🎬 To wrap it all up: KBBQ, a second North Korean haircut, and… I unexpectedly show up on North Korean *TV*!
