About Papaji:

Sri H.W.L. Poonja, popularly known as Papaji, was born on October 13, 1910 (or later), in a part of the Punjab that is now in Pakistan.

He had his first direct experience of the Self at the age of six, but he couldn't recognize it.

He met his Master, Sri Ramana Maharshi, in 1944. Shortly afterwards he realized the Self in the presence of his Master.

Being a householder, he continued to work and support the many members of his extended family until his retirement in 1966.

After extensive travel Papaji settled down in Lucknow, India, where he received visitors from around the world.

Papaji left the body on September 6, 1997.

About Sri Ramana Maharshi:

Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879 – 1950) was a great sage and Jivanmukta who lived in Tiruvannamalai, southern India.

He was a spiritual guru of international renown, and he taught Self-enquiry as the direct path to enlightenment. He also suggested the path of Self-surrender for those who find the path of Self-enquiry difficult.

For example, related to the childhood experience of Papaji, in the book it is mentioned 'six-year-old-boy' whereas in their website, it is 'eight-year-old-boy', and also few lines are different in their website though essential meaning is the same.
