After months of international camps, we are finally at the UEFA Women's Nations League Final: Germany vs Spain, a rematch of last summer’s Euro semifinal where Aitana Bonmatí (Barcelona) scored the extra-time winner. The first leg is played in Germany on Friday November 27th, while the second leg will be played in Spain on December 2nd.
Spain come in as defending champions — but a lot has changed...
While Spain has a new coach, Spain’s attack has still looked dangerous even despite missing Ester González (Gotham FC) in the semifinals.
Germany enter the final with no Lena Oberdorf (Bayern Munich), but under Christian Wück, they’ve become one of Europe’s most resilient teams. With even more injuries, questions will arise over where Jule Brand (Lyon) will play: in the midfield, or back on the wing?
