Wolfsheim - The Sparrows and The Nightingales (KD Remix 2025)

This is a fan-made remix of the classic darkwave track by Wolfsheim. This remix was requested by a listener to this channel called @1RayP. Thanks for your request.

I did not hear this song when it was first released. It was unlikely to be played in the UK at the time, but was no doubt a very big hit in mainland Europe in the 1990s. I remember hearing it in nightclubs in Berlin circa 2010. Specifically, I remember hearing it in K17 which I believe has since shut down. The original version has a very melancholic vibe throughout, but at the same time, there is a very captivating and uplifting feeling to the song, particularly when the main melody is played.

I don't know a lot about Wolfsheim, but I believe they have had a big influence on the development on the darkwave music scene in mainland Europe and beyond. Thanks for the music.

Discogs suggests that the band had an acrimonious split in the 2000's and have not been able to settle their differences. I am assuming this is still the case.
