Historically they were known as Huguenots, French Calvinists of the Protestant Reformation. But who were they, and where did they come from? Little is known about the term 'Huguenot' with it's etymology dating back only to early 1520's in France. Some theorists however speculate that the word stretches back further than that, even into more ancient times.
