“At ang pinakamalaking biyaya, the biggest treasure that we have here in the Philippines are these, our children, the future of our country,” expressed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. when he led the 'Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya 2025 Nationwide Gift-Giving' together with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and their son, William Vincent Araneta Marcos, at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañan Palace on December 6, 2025.

In his message, President Marcos Jr. emphasized how children’s presence transforms the Palace from a seat of serious work into a place filled with warmth and genuine cheer. He noted that their smiles rekindle the true spirit of Christmas, reminding public servants why they serve and what keeps them going despite the nation’s challenges.

“Kaya tumitibay ang loob namin, lumalakas ang loob namin, nagiging kami mas masipag kapag nakikita namin kayo, kayo ang dahilan sa lahat ng aming ginagawa,” he said, highlighting how the joy of children inspires government officials to continue their work with dedication.

Reflecting on the children’s lively participation, he said that their laughter, dancing and performances bring back memories of his own childhood Christmases, emphasizing that the celebration was meant to let the children experience the joy of the season and to show that they are the source of happiness for everyone around them.

“Kaya Merry Christmas sa inyo lahat, maraming salamat sa pagdala ninyo ng saya dito,” President Marcos Jr. concluded, as the Kalayaan Grounds was filled with children enjoying the festivities, a reminder that the celebration centers on Filipino youth, the country’s future.

This year, over 19,000 children nationwide received gifts through the initiative. Various Department of Education (DepEd) schools and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) satellite centers also participated in the festivities via Zoom, celebrating in sync with the Palace Grounds. Cabinet members, including DepEd Secretary Juan Edgardo 'Sonny' Angara and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, attended the event to support the Administration’s efforts to uplift Filipino youth and families during the holiday season.
