“Starmer Sold Us Down The River” | Nigel Farage Pledges To Bring Back FULL Winter Fuel Payments

Nigel Farage is planning to get ahead of Keir Starmer by promising to scrap the two-child benefit cap and bring back winter fuel payments in full.

He’s aiming to win over left-leaning voters with a big speech taking on Starmer and the Prime Minister.

This move could push Labour MPs to speed up their own plans.

Starmer’s open to scrapping the benefit cap, but Chancellor Rachel Reeves wants to wait until they figure out how to pay for it. Getting rid of the cap and restoring the payments could cost up to £5 billion and might mean tax hikes.

Downing Street is also thinking about bringing back the fuel payment for all pensioners, then taxing the richest to cover the cost.
