There’s a “new scandal” engulfing Qantas and creating a PR crisis the airline can’t seem to shake, according to Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton.
“It has been a bruising few weeks for our national carrier, Qantas,” he said.
Mr Houghton said outgoing Qantas CEO Alan Joyce “stubbornly” refused to reveal to the Senate the terms behind a decision to grant the Prime Minister’s son chairman’s lounge access.
“After that trainwreck Senate appearance and the subsequent negative media reporting, Qantas changed its policy,” he said.
“It is a small win for the journalists following this story, but let’s hope they don’t forget about the links to our Prime Minister.”
