Electric vs diesel, its a hot topic but whats more to the point is how they are installed.
I'm going through the two main options, pointing out my thoughts on both systems and figuring out what I'm going to use. It doesnt matter if your a Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Beta, EPT, or OceanVolt this is about the facts. The pro's, the con's the lot.
Im also taking a dive into engine mounts, efficiency reliability.
SO, whats going on here?
Im a shipwright, a professionally trained boatbuilder and I set my self a challenge. Take electric to the extremes. Why?
20 years ago I left my hear in the Patagonia, I'm going back to get it but im not going to leave a mess behind me. This is The Ghostship, a journey to "Leave no Trace".
So its a full on development involving whatever it takes to get me there. Im not relying on existing products and Im making this happen with my own bare hands and the people who belive in me!
