In this interview, Stephane Wrembel, one of the great guitar masters of Django's music, shows us why he has always had a great love for philosophy, art, and music.

Stephane Wrembel is a Grammy-Award winning composer who wrote the soundtrack for Woody Allen's 2012 "Midnight in Paris". He is a heralded guitarist and composer who has created and organized the Django A Go-Go Festival now for 23 years.

In 2017, a Guitar Camp was added to the festival in Maplewood, NJ (Wrembel's hometown) where anyone from a beginner to the most advanced guitar player can learn from true guitar masters from around the world.

As every year, this year Stephane has brought together a Who's Who of the Best Django Jazz musicians on the planet, showcasing for the first time french guitar virtuoso Antoine Boyer, Yeore Kim, Mozes Rosenberg, Simba Baumgartner (Django's great-grandson), Josh Kaye, Sam Farthing, the great pianist Jean-Michel Pilc and many others.

In the past, he has had such guitar greats as Al DiMeola, Angelo DeBarre, Stochelo Rosenberg, Serge Camps, Frank Anastasio, Raphael Fays, Sebastian Felix, and many others perform for his Django A Go-Go Festival and Guitar Camp.

Wrembel was very hands on during this interview, often demonstrating with his favorite spruce guitar some of best techniques for Django Jazz guitar (he doesn't care for the term "Gypsy Jazz" nor believes it is an accurate description for Django's music), and more importantly, how to produce the right tone out of the guitar with a plectrum for Django's music.
