Grassmoor Country Park is in Derbyshire and has lush meadows that are ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, and having a picnic. Found at the northern end of the famous Five Pits Trail, this park is a wildlife haven filled with butterflies, water voles, skylarks, meadow pipits, and grass snakes. Fishing is allowed at the large pond in the country park all year round.
The Grassmoor Lagoons project, completed in 2019, has reclaimed the former Grassmoor Colliery spoil tips. The area is now a wildlife haven.
