The Weather Desk: A chance for snow or a wintry mix Friday night into Saturday

A developing winter storm will march across the southern United States and bring snow to Hampton Roads Friday night. Some accumulation is likely before a possible transition to mix or rain across parts of the region on Saturday morning. Models this morning suggest we could see 1-3" (with locally higher amounts possible) through Saturday morning. Amounts could be lower if more warm air mixes in, but the models have been trending a bit higher with the snow projections. Stay tuned!
