Loncin Motorcycles is a Chinese company which is registered as Longxin Motorcycle Industry Co. Ltd. Loncin motorcycles are affiliated with BMW Motorrad as their engine and part developers. The Loncin GP 165 is made with the same design as Loncin GP 150 and the Loncin Gp 250. It has made quite a name for itself for being a bike of quality.

Key Features:
The Loncin GP 165 is made with a mixture of LED and Halogen lights. The headlight consists of a projector Halogen light for the low beam and basic Halogen lights for the high beam. The headlights would have been much better if they were LED. The taillight is an LED unit. The headlight looks very beautiful and has a very aggressive yet standard look. The taillight is also made with a very attractive design.

The Loncin GP 165 comes in two colors just like the Loncin GP 150. They are:
White.
Black.
Red.
The white Loncin GP 165 comes with red decals while the black one comes with green decals. The decals are smartly placed to enhance the overall cosmetic appearance of the bike.

The Loncin GP 165 comes with a giant exhaust muffler. The muffler was designed to look very muscular and sporty at the same time. The bike sounds quite average. The bike also gets a split seat setup just like any other sport bike. The split seat ensures privacy for both the rider and the pillion.

The Loncin GP 165 has a very attractive instrument cluster. The instrument cluster contains an analog rev counter, with the rest of it being digital. The digital screen contains the speed, a gear position indicator, an odometer, and a fuel gauge. The gear position indicator is a very useful feature, which many bikes still don’t get.

Physical Attributes:
The Loncin GP 165 comes fitted with a clip-on handlebar, which makes the bike much more aggressive to ride. The bike is a rather short bike with a lower seat height of 780mm. But regardless of the low seat height, the bike has a high ground clearance of 175mm. This makes the bike completely immune from most speed bumps in town. The bike also has a fuel tank of 16liters, which may seem enough, but will be further discussed in the engine section.

The length, width, height, and weight of the Loncin GP 165 are 2030mm, 720mm, 1120mm, and 145kg respectively. The bike is on the heavier side, but this is so that the bike can hold on to the ground better during braking and accelerating. The bike also has a wheelbase of 1348mm, which makes it compact, but the wheelbase is also long enough to be stable at corners.

Engine and Transmission:
The Loncin GP 165 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and 164cc engine. The engine is carburetor and air-cooled. The engine pumps out around 18BHP of power at 8500rpm. This bike however may not have the best mileage of the bunch.

The Loncin GP 165 has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 6-speed gearbox, which matches its description of being a sport bike. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 130kmph.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The Loncin GP 165 has a dual disc brake setup. The dual disc setup significantly increases the braking performance of a bike. The bike however does not get ABS or CBS. However, the front disc has dual caliper.

The Loncin GP 165 has upside-down telescopic suspensions at the front, and the rear has a mono-shock suspension. The front suspension being USD, may not respond very well to the bumpy roads of Bangladesh.
