"What's the point of a world where we're dancing with death, and we never can draw breath?"

I wrote these words 4 years ago, in response to the murders of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, and I never imagined they would take on even more significance with the death of George Floyd. For those of us still breathing, it is our responsibility to use our voices for change. This song is my small contribution to the movement -- a look at how arbitrary our creation of demons and heroes in society can be. "Your devil is my god." Realizing how deeply entrenched our ideologies are is the first step to rewriting them. We can do better. We must. Black lives matter.
