Pune - Miraj route of Central Railway is 280kms, almost 230kms is complete, some more distance between Karad and Shenoli will be fully doubled and operational. Only Shindawane Ghats to Ambale, 9kms long will take time as its ghat section and tunnels and viaducts will have to be made thereby getting operational may be after 15months or 2 years from now on.
Journey done onboard 06:10am Pune Phaltan DEMU Express from Pune to Jejuri showcasing skips with honkings, climbing mighty Shindawane Ghats, taking beautiful curves on this route in morning fog and sunrise. The description can be read as follows;
1) Only one travelling in the First Coach and doing its coverage - For a moment I thought is this train going to Phaltan or to station yard.
2) Bending couple of sharp curves between Alandi and Shindawane railway stations.
3) Climbing beautiful Shindawane Ghats and cruising through sharp curves, entering tunnels and going over Viaducts in morning fog - February 2025 doubling progress as of now. It will take atleast more than one year or two years to be completely operational.
4) Skipping curvatious Ambale Railway Station.
5) Getting down at Jejuri and getting great acceleration by Pune Phaltan DEMU train with great sounds.
