East of Sweden: I miss you I'm not coming back [15/15]

Last days are strange. You remember how excited you were when the trip started, but it seems so long ago. You miss home, comforts, and it is nice to get a warm shower again. Still, you want to keep going and going and going.

I travelled back by bus and train to Västervik, and drove the car up to Oregrund. A day of rest, then it turned out to be a three day drive back home again.

What a trip! I did 450 kilometres trekking along the Swedish coast, I had no rest days, I could sail every day. There were no accidents or mishaps. I did miss my partner at home, and felt sad and lonely at times. Also I had huge highs, on the first days when I realised the trip was doable, crossing the path of the big ferries to Finland, and sailing in higher winds than I ever did. Soon I'll be going out for another adventure, I hope...
