In the depths of the Rocky Mountains, Jack Torrance and his son and wife, Danny and Wendy are maintaining the empty Overlook Hotel, abandoned for the winter season. As a writer he hopes to finish writing a promising play to reestablish his career. But as the gloomy winter months drag on, the cold and dark history of the place is taking it’s toll. Soon they discover the hotel is haunted. Tormented by ghosts and visions Jack was driven to the extreme, the insanity manifesting in his mind. With the winter winds howling outside Danny and his mother Wendy managed to escape, Jack however is still lost in the hedge maze, hunting, stalking slipping deeper into madness, and slwoly succumbing to the freezing cold.
The footage in this video was taken from the nostalgic 1980 horror movie The Shining. The soundscape consists of wind white noise, whistling and howling winter snow storm and distant echoing voice lines of Jack yelling.
